Welcome to the Knightmare Lexicon. This system is designed to be a centre point for any Knightmare related information. You may think of it as a Knightmare Encyclopædia or Dictionary. Though in many ways it is more like a Knightmare wiki in that people with an interest in Knightmare like yourself may add entries to the database for others to find. Likewise if there's a piece of information you're looking for on Knightmare then in thef future it's very likely you'll be able to find it here. For the system to be a success it relies on each and every member of the community providing as much information as possible. Enjoy! logins.

Entry of the Day - Knightmare Roleplay Game
1. Knightmare Roleplay Game
Roleplay forum based on Knightmare. The forum was renamed after it had been pointed out that its original name, Knightmare Roleplay, was already in use. Although concerns were raised over the new name's similarity and potential for confusion, co-creator Emma Venvell (Spawn of Fear on the Knightmare.com Forum) stated that she was unwilling to create further new graphics ('to be totally honest, I cannot be bothered to change it again at this moment in time'), and Knightmare Roleplay Game remained the forum's name. It had no connection to the Knightmare RPG project.

Following several posts on the Knightmare.com Forum and a trailer on YouTube from co-creator Martin Harder, the forum was officially opened at 11pm on 21st November 2006. It was structured to enable members to play a character from the Knightmare TV series, taking him or her on a linear quest through Knightmare locations, with clue objects and spells incorporated too, overseen by Martin and Emma as forum moderators. The forum promised competitions with prizes and a continuation of the on-screen rivalry between Treguard and Lord Fear (played by Martin and Emma).

Locations featured within the forum, on one of the Dungeon's three levels, included a 'starting point' area called 'The path to and from Wolfenden and beyond' (a name and concept seemingly taken from Surrounds without acknowledgement), Knightmare Castle, Horngarth, The Rocks of Bruin, Dunkley Wood, The Black Tower Ruins ('Bits of old troll can be found here'), the Golden Galleon, Linghorm Palace and Marblehead. Characters seen on the forum included Pickle, Cedric, Gundrada, Lissard, Gumboil, Motley, Brother Mace and Malice.

For reasons that were not announced outside the forum, it was eventually closed (within a year, according to some recollections) and locked into maintenance mode, leaving its 400-plus posts inaccessible to all but the moderators. Martin and Emma later had a child, and it is hoped that what they created together on their Knightmare forum also remains a positive shared experience for them.
